【摘要】:1.1*Scope.1.1.1Title.NFPA101,LifeSafetyCode,shallbeknownastheLifeSafetyCode?,iscitedassuch,andshallbereferredtohereinas?thisCode?or?theCode.?1.1.2DangertoLifefromFire.TheCodeaddressesthoseconstruction,protection,andoccupancyfeaturesnecessarytominimizedangertolifefromtheeffectsoffire,includingsmoke,heat,andtoxicgasescreatedduringafire.1.1.3EgressFacilities.TheCodeestablishesminimumcriteriaforthedesignofegressfacilitiessoastoallowpromptescapeofoccupantsfrombuildingsor,wheredesirable,intosafeareaswithinbuildings.1.1.4OtherFire-RelatedConsiderations.TheCodeaddressesotherconsiderationsthatareessentialtolifesafetyinrecognitionofthefactthatlifesafetyismorethanamatterofegress.TheCodealsoaddressesprotectivefeaturesandsystems,buildingservices,operatingfeatures,maintenanceactivities,andotherprovisionsinrecognitionofthefactthatachievinganacceptabledegreeoflifesafetydependsonadditionalsafeguardstoprovideadequateegresstimeorprotectionforpeopleexposedtofire.1.1.5*ConsiderationsNotRelatedtoFire.TheCodealsoaddressesotherconsiderationsthat,whileimportantinfireconditions,provideanongoingbenefitinotherconditionsofuse,includingnon-fireemergencies.1.1.6AreasNotAddressed.TheCodedoesnotaddressthefollowing:(1)*Generalfirepreventionorbuildingconstructionfeaturesthatarenormallyafunctionoffirepreventioncodesandbuildingcodes
