【摘要】:TemperaturemonitorsareusedinsurveillancecapsulesinaccordancewithPracticeE2215toverifytheestimatedvalueofthesurveillancespecimenirradiationtemperature.Temperaturemonitorsareneededtogiveevidenceofoverheatingofsurveillancespecimensbeyondtheexpectedtemperature.Becauseoverheatingcausesareductionintheamountofneutronradiationdamagetothesurveillancespecimens,thisoverheatingcouldresultinachangeinthemeasuredpropertiesofthesurveillancespecimensthatwouldleadtoanunconservativepredictionofdamagetothereactorvesselmaterial.Themagnitudeofthereductionofradiationdamagewithoverheatingdependsonthecompositionofthematerialandtimeattemperature.GuideE900providesanacceptedmethodforquantifyingthetemperatureeffect.Becausetheevidencefrommeltwiremonitorsgivesnoindicationofthedurationofoverheatingabovetheexpectedtemperatureasindicatedbymeltingofthemonitor,thesignificanceofoverheatingeventscannotbequantifiedonthebasisofthermalmonitorsalone.Indicationofoverheatingdoesservetoalerttheuserofthedatatofurtherevaluatetheirradiationtemperatureexposurehistoryofthesurveillancecapsule.ThisguideisIIIEofMasterMatrixE706thatrelatesseveralstandardsusedforirradiationsurveillanceoflightwaterreactorvesselmaterials.ItisintendedprimarilytoamplifytherequirementsofPracticeE185inthedesignoftemperaturemonitorsforthesurveillanceprogram.ItmayalsobeusedinconjunctionwithPracticeE2215toevaluatethepost-irradiationtestmeasurements..1.1Thisguidedescribestheapplicationofmeltwiretemperaturemonitorsandtheiruseforreactorvesselsurveillanceoflight-waterpowerreactorsascalledforinPracticeE185.1.2Thepurposeofthisguideistorecommendtheselectionanduseofthecommonmeltwiretechniquewherethecorrespondencebetweenmeltingtemperatureandcompositionofdifferentalloysisusedasapassivetemperaturemonitor.Guidelinesareprovidedfortheselectionandcalibrationofmonitormaterials;design,fabrication,andassemblyofmonitorandcontainer;post-irradiationexaminations;interpretationoftheresults;andestimationofuncertainties.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(SeeNote1.)
