【摘要】:Thistestmethodappliestoone-dimensional,laminarflowofwaterorotherpermeationliquids,suchaschemicalsolutions,landfillleachate,andcontaminatedwater(hereonreferredtoastestliquid),throughsaturated/hydratedGCLspecimenthatisconsolidatedandpermeatedunderaprescribedorrequestedsetofconditions.Thistestmethodcanbeperformedtodetermineifthefluxand/orhydraulicconductivityofaGCLspecimenexceedsthemaximumvaluestatedbythemanufacturerorrequiredbytheregulatoryagencies,orboth.ItisassumedthatDarcy''slawisvalidandthatthehydraulicconductivityisessentiallyunaffectedbyhydraulicgradient.ThevalidityofDarcy''slawmaybeevaluatedbymeasuringthehydraulicconductivityofthespecimenatthreedifferenthydraulicgradients;ifallmeasuredvaluesaresimilar(withinabout25%),thenDarcy''slawmaybetakenasvalid.However,whenthehydraulicgradientactingonatestspecimenischanged,thestateofstresswillalsochange,and,ifthespecimeniscompressible,thevolumeofthespecimenwillchange.Thus,somechangeinhydraulicconductivitymayoccurwhenthehydraulicgradientisaltered,evenincaseswhereDarcy''slawisvalid.ThistestmethodprovidestoolsfordeterminingfluxandhydraulicconductivityvaluesforagivenGCLunderthefollowingtwodifferentscenarios,whichshouldbespecifiedbytherequester:Scenario1x2014;Hydrated/SaturatedwithWaterPriortoContactwithTestLiquid8212;ThisscenariosimulatesthefieldconditionswheretheGCLiswellhydratedwithwaterpriortocontactwithactualtestliquid.Itshouldbenotedthatinitialdegreeofsaturation/hydrationgreatlyaffectsthehydraulicpropertiesofaGCLproduct.Thetesthastwophases:(Phase1)hydrate,saturate,consolidateandpermeatewithwaterasTestLiquid1,and(Phase2)switchtopermeationwithtestliquidasTestLiquid2.Scenario2x2014;Hydrated/SaturatedwithTestLiquid(WorstCase)8212;ThisscenariosimulatesthefieldconditionswheretheGCLisincontactwithtestliquidpriortobeingfullyhydratedwithwater.ItshouldbenotedthatthisscenariomayresultinhigherfluxandhydraulicconductivityvaluescomparedtoScenario1aschemicalspresentintestliquidmayalterthehydrationandhydraulicpropertiesofaGCLproduct.Theapparatususedinthistestmethodiscommonlyusedtodeterminethehydraulicconductivityofsoilspecimens.However,fluxvaluesmeasuredinthistestaretypicallymuchlowerthanthosecommonlymeasuredformostnaturalsoils.Itisessentialthattheleakagerateoftheapparatusinthistestbelessthan10%oftheflux.1.1Thistestmethodcoverslaboratorymeasurementofbothfluxandhydraulicconductivity(alsoreferredtoascoefficientofpermeability)ofgeosyntheticclayliner(GCL)specimenspermeatedwithchemicalsolutionsandleachatesutilizingaflexiblewallpermeameter.Fortestmeasurementofindexhydraulicpropertiesofgeosyntheticclayliners,refertoTestMethodD5887.1.2ThistestmethodmaybeutilizedwithGCLspecimensthathaveahydraulicconductivitylessthanorequalto1x00D7;10-5m/s(1x00D7;10-3cm/s).1.3ThistestmethodisapplicabletoGCLproductshavinggeotextilebacking(s).ItisnotapplicabletoGCLproductswithgeomembranebacking(s),geofilmbacking(s)orpolymercoatingbacking(s).1.4Thistestmethodprovidesmeasurementsoffluxandhydraulicconductivityunderaprescribedsetofcondit......
