【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtobroadenthescopeofthepreviouseditionofthetestmethodbytheinclusionoftalloilandtalloilderivedfromproductsastestmaterials.TestMethodsD803currentlyincludesamethodforthedeterminationofunsaponifiablematter.Theamountofunsaponifiablematterintalloilandotherrelatedproductsisimportantincharacterizingsuchproductsasitindicatesthelevelofnonacidicmaterial,bothfreeandcombined,presentinthetestmaterial.Theunsaponifiableinnavalstoresproductsisprimarilycomposedofhighermolecularweightalcohols,sterols,andhydrocarbons.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthepercentageofmaterialinNavalStoresproductsasdefinedinTerminologyD804includingrosin,talloilandrelatedproducts,otherthaninsolubledirtorsimilarvisibleforeignmatterthatdoesnotyieldawater-solublesoapwhenthesampleissaponifiedwithpotassiumhydroxide.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
